Farolitos (luminaries) have a Mexican origin and are traditionally used during Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) as a way to guide and welcome spirits. Farolitos act as a form of lighting, adornment, and symbol of remembrance. Participants will create their own luminaries while exploring some of the themes and symbolisms attached to farolitos and the upcoming Day of the Dead.
