Crank Collective’s third and final installment of the Texas History Musical Series “Boomtown,” is a musical comedy set in the 1920s about the most dangerous city in Texas. The production, set to come alive at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, follows the lawless new township of Borger, Texas. “Boomtown” is based on memoirs and documents from the period and is inspired by the Thomas Hart Benton painting of the same name.
