AFS Presents: "Angel"

Thursday, Dec 19, 2013 7:30p

ANGEL is linked to the sectarian violence of “The Troubles” in the North, and it is never established which side of the struggle the murderers are on. Yet this is a film addressing the Loyalist and Republican conflicts of Belfast, and Jordan seems to suggest that political fidelities are irrelevant when innocents are murdered in their name. Jordan suggests that the reasons for Northern Ireland’s Troubles remain mysterious and perhaps unknowable.
