Foodways of Mexico--The Michoacán Dinner
This installment of Foodways of Mexico brings together a group of chefs to engage in conversations about Michoacán food. Rachel Laudan, renowned food historian and author, will provide an introduction to contextualize Mexican cuisine within broader themes of history and culture. Iliana de la Vega, acclaimed chef and owner of El Naranjo, will moderate the discussion with chefs who specialize in Mexican cooking: Ruth Alegria, Benedicta Alejo, Cynthia Martinez, Rubi Silva, and Kirsten West.
