Mother Nature's Pedagogy: Play, Explore, Learn
Boston College professor and evolutionary developmental psychologist Peter Gray has gathered compelling evidence for the necessity of free play for children’s learning and healthy development. Dr. Gray shows how children are designed, by natural selection, to educate themselves, and how we can help by providing appropriate environmental conditions. Without freedom to play and explore—as is happening increasingly in our culture—children become anxious, depressed, and intellectually stunted.
