Carnaval Brasileiro is Austin's annual Brazilian-style Mardi Gras celebration, in 2013, celebrating 36 years as Austin's best party. Two bands will pump out traditional Rio carnaval music non-stop. Acadêmicos da Opera, Austin's own "escola de samba" with 100 drummers and dancers will alternate with Beleza Brasil, a group of 11 Rio carnaval veterans who play classic sambas, marchinhas, and frevos of the best party on the planet. Wacky, risque costumes and non-stop dance round out the festivities.
