Spotlight on the Auburn Symphony
ASO principal, Rodger Burnett, will perform Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 4. Richard Wagner’s symbolic opera Parsifal premiered in 1882 and Wagner later arranged the Good Friday Music as a separate concert piece that remains today an Easter season tradition. The program concludes with Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring which premiered 100 years ago in Paris. It not only changed classical music forever, but also provoked the most notorious audience outbreak in the history of ballet and theater!
