The Arts Building Gallery presents TXT-ured L-scape in the Main Gallery through February 28, 2013, featuring oil paintings and sculptures by Peter Newman. A native of New Zealand, Newman has lived in Northern California for many years. His work showcases his passion for California’s landscapes. By layering imbedded materials from muslin to bits of wood and natural objects, and considering every stroke on the canvas, he highlights subtle textures and underlying subtexts in his large scale works.
