Turning the World Upside Down: An Ancient Jewish Life of Jesus - American Lectures in the History of Religion

John G. Gager, Jr, Princeton University and 2013 lecturer in the American Lectures in the History of Religion series, delivers an address about the early Jewish view of Jesus. Much has been written about the sad history of Christian anti-Judaism. This history is often told as if Jews were silent, passive players who failed to respond. This view has undergone a serious revision. Gager reviews early Christian and Jewish sources to give a better picture of the interaction between the two religions.
