Playwright Jermaine Quincy Ross find inspiration in August Wilson and the music group Outkast in his new play "Slum Beautiful"

Saturday, Feb 23 7:30p to 10:00p
Grady High School Atlanta, GA

The play, Slum Beautiful, invites the audience to East Point, an African-American neighborhood that million-dollar high-rises and luxury hotels decided to overlook. Yet, it is an epicenter where Atlanta’s extremely wealthy and working class co-exists. In this community, class, values, and the American dream meet, mix and are reborn every day. This funny, yet intense, drama finds love, laughter, and heart-break in a neighborhood that is not the typical picture of ATL and its Black affluence.
