Sounds From The Underground was formed in February of 2012 by Jacob Deaton...who had realized after countless late night talks with Atlanta-based musicians that more venues were needed to support art based music. As we celebrate a year that featured over 40 different composers and hundreds of musicians we've decided to celebrate!

***Nick ROSEN***
Born and raised in Miami, this versitile keyboardist now makes Atlanta his home. Studying under the tutilage of piano great Marcus Roberts, Nick is a stylistic chameleon, able to thrive within almost any musical situation he's a part of. Its no coincedence that artists such as Russell Gunn, Grant Green Jr., Khari Cabral, Rhonda Thomas, Yonrico Scott, Julie Dexter, Etienne Charles, Leon Foster Thomas, and Saunders Sermons have all called on Nick to provide his musicianship to their respective projects. In addition to his sideman capabilities, Nick leads his own group, and has crafted a sound that is uniquely his. Nick's debut album featuring Terreon Gulley, Nick Johnson and Joel Powell will be available in 2013. Nick continues to aspire to new heights musically, sharing his gift with all that would listen.
