In this introductory workshop you will explore the textural and pattern possibilities of wax stencil, wax etching, wax snowstorm, rolled wax pattern, rub and remove, wax trailing, half-resist and the Japanese shading technique that makes work glow with luminosity. You will work with the sansei-senryo acid dyes of the kimono industry, with all techniques applicable to either silk or cotton fabric.
