Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw

Friday, Apr 19, 2013 8:00p

The Turn of the Screw is considered by many to be Benjamin Britten’s finest opera. This masterly chamber work, based on the novel by Henry James, revolves around a governess newly employed at the country manor, Bly, and her vulnerable wards Miles and Flora. Set in dark corners of Victorian England, this mortal—and amoral—battle will be staged by Carroll Freeman, accompanied by the GSU Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Michael Palmer.
