Jazz pianist McCoy Tyner bears an unmatchable musical pedigree. As a member of the John Coltrane Quartet, Tyner played alongside the master on original recordings of My Favorite Things and A Love Supreme, to name just a few, and changed the sound of jazz in the process. Tyner would eventually move on and explore new musical horizons on his own both as a composer and bandleader, and even some 80 albums later, he’s still a leading light of the jazz universe.
