Community Garden Fundraiser

The Grant Park Community Garden and Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (UCR) are excited to team up for a benefit show at Grocery on Home. The event will take place on Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m.
Members of the Atlanta music collective Oryx and Crake will headline the evening. This unique group takes traditional instruments to modern and surprising places, all with musical complexity and lyrical beauty. With the kind of voice that stops every passer-by on it's sheer power and resonance, Gareth will lend his voice to the evening sharing original tunes that share the message of community, positivity, and making the world a better place. The chefs from Homegrown on Memorial will cook up chili, and we'll have other refreshments on hand as well.
The event will serve as a fundraising benefit for the Grant Park Community Garden (GPCG) and a "friend-raiser" to expand awareness for Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. A subcommittee of the GPNA, the garden is located on south Grant Street near the horse pastures, and mixes private gardening plots with larger growing areas where neighbors cooperatively grow fresh produce for donation to local communities in need.
