From 1925 to 1932, Margaret Mitchell lived at this address, in Apartment 1, and wrote her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, "Gone With the Wind." Daily tours are available. They begin at The Visitors Center, located adjacent to the house on the corner of Peachtree Street and Peachtree Place.
The Literary Center features author lectures, book signings and adult and children's writing classes. It preserves the legacy of Margaret Mitchell through literary events, creative writing classes for adults and youth, and the facilitation of Poetry Out Loud in Georgia.
The Margaret Mitchell House is part of the Atlanta History Center.
