Our goal is to carry on the Traditions of Excellence set by our original location in Jackson, GA, which opened in 1929. Jackson was named "GA's Best BBQ" in 1984 by WSB TV Viewers and "The South's Best BBQ" by Southern Magazine in 1988. The location was opened in September of 1997 and the Atlanta Highway location in July 1998. Athens Awards include "Athens Best BBQ at the First Annual Athens Cookout in 1999 and "Best BBQ Restaurant" by Athens Banner-Herald Readers in 2004.
