Cinemagic Theatre

HI! My Mother and I go to the movies every weekend and we love it here in Athens! The matinee prices are low and so are the prices on the refreshments. I partically like how clean the theatre is kept. The one minor complaint: More screens!Change the shows more often! ;-) (Okay, that was two) Thanks for bringing us a theatre close to home!

I really love going to the movies in Athens rather than going all the way to Madison! People need to stop complaining about teenagers. Yes, we are loud, but that's how we are. And if you see someone texting, you can just ignore it instead of throwing a hissy fit over it. Anyways..this is an awesome theatre!!! :)

I love going to the movies, its the cell phones i cant handle!! To many disrespectfull kids using their phones during the movie. But i dont have a problem telling them to shut it off or leave, i didnt come to see or hear a phone, i paid to watch a movie. To athensgirl123, we dont wanna deal with your loudness, its called respect!

I love coming to Cinemagic! I love to hang out with my friends because its somewhere local and fun. I know that alot of people have complained about us 7-12 graders about how wer loud and stuff, but they deal with it, trust me!

I have been to the theater several times with my kids since it has opened and I have never had a problem with service, cleaniness, or in being able to watch the show. I have been in the afternoon and to the evening and have enjoyed each time. BTW, I am one of the so called "Athen's parents" with a 7-12 grader and yes I have raised my son correctly. I am proud of our theater and think is a great addition to this city and think it is a place that our teens can enjoy their date nights instead of having to drive so far from home.

i think the people writing the reviews are being overdramtic. yea teenagers are loud in the theatre, but where are they not loud? and as for people who think the theatre is bad, how about you build one and manage it yourself. these people work there @$$es off trying to make you happy and have an enjoyable night, and all you focus on with these reviews are negatives. this theatre is the best thing to happen to athens since the freakin skating rink. it's an amazing place and i think my freinds would agree.

My husband and I go to this theatre at least every other weekend and we also have 4 teenagers. We've never experienced a problem with misbehaving teens. In fact we noticed that staff comes in to check on things several times during the movie. There aren't a lot of places for teens to hang out around here and I'm grateful to have this theatre and appreciate their reasonable prices too! They get a thumbs up from me!!

i think the theater is a great local place for kids to hang out. In fact most kids do go there. I don't think the behavior is quiet what gabbagal makes it out to be. They monitor the kids and make sure it stays quiet. They even do routine checks to make sure of it.

I love having a theatre close by now, and I am very appreciative of the family friendly movies that are played. There are mostly families with younger children in this area, so it's great to have that option when looking for a good, clean movie to share with them.

It is so nice to have a local theatre in Athens! It is convenient, clean, comfortable and the staff have always been friendly. Prices are more reasonable than Huntsville and concessions are better too. I appreciate the fact that a large portion of the movies are "family friendly" because that's what lots of people in Athens are all about. In my experience, they have dealt with kids/teens who think nothing of disturbing others around them by talking/texting/playing on their cellphones. I have seen management come straight up to them and tell them to turn the phones off and then stand there until they do. From kids & teens to Mom & Dad, our whole family enjoys our experiences at our local theatre. Cinemagic, YOU ROCK!!

Yes it is a small town theater, but it has a friendly staff and great concessions.

I would like to see more R rated movies so i don't have to go to huntsville to see movies like appaloosa and W

My husband & I have enjoyed this theater occasionally, but wish they would show more movies geared toward adults. At least one substantial,top box office thriller/drama/horror/sci-fi a week. There are too many movies for kids & teens & not much for older adults who want more than just a weekend distraction. Young teens & children are unruly & we have not seen any handling of the problem. On the up side-prices are very good & concessions are reasonable & tasty.

This is not the best theatre me an my husband have ever been to. I admit prices are reasonable. The managers never handle any issues, we were in a movie a kids were jumping and running around and throwing things this was in first 5 min of movie and we went up and complained and asked for our money back they refused and said they would handle, they sent someone in for like 5 min and it was back to the same way as soon as they left. Also if you go to a late movie and get the refillable popcorn and drink, make sure if you want the refill you gulp it down quick because they close up consession early, and they will refuse to give you refill because they already cleaned!!!!!

I do believe roy is the manager and and I know the asst manager is daniel mcnutt that has been employed with the drive ins were around. Hey daniel get your brother to write on too, he worked there too, didnt he, They both write fake reviews!! Sammi is probaly another fake name too. This theatre is so lame they write false reviews. Why dont the owner write one too. Arent we hard up for positive reviews.

I love having a movie theatre in the area. I watched a movie not too long ago, and when I arrived, the smell of popcorn was tempting me-I just had to get some. I also got a large drink with the promise of a refill-I couldn't even finish it because it was so big, but it was well worth the money. Before, I had to drive to Huntsville to watch movies and I wasted so much gas. But now I can save a few bucks plus Cinemagic's prices are so cheap comparatively. I love this theatre and I will continue to come back. You rock, Cinemagic!

I enjoy my visits because of the constant popping of fresh popcorn. I Love That Smell! And the managers take care of other disturbing patrons in the theatres while movies are playing. It is just a relief to sit back and enjoy a flick after a long weeks work. Thanks Cinemagic!
