Asheville Community Band Spring Concert

The band's Spring concert includes marches, concert works, orchestral transcriptions and features Mr. Anthony Ammons, band director at Valley Springs Middle School, playing Mozart’s Horn Concerto, No. 1. The band will also perform an arrangement of Amazing Grace for band and bagpipes featuring member Leisa Stamey, who shares her musical gifts with the Montreat Scottish Pipes and Drums. Three college scholarships will be awarded during the program to area students majoring in music education.
