About Your Trainers
Richard Cheng, Principal Consultant at Excella Consulting, provides consulting services to commercial and federal clients in the Washington, DC area. Richard coaches, mentors, and trains clients in understanding and implementing Agile and Scrum. He also leads Excella’s Agile Center of Excellence.
A graduate of Virginia Tech, Richard has authored several publications on project management, presented at Agile and PMI sponsored industry events, is a member of Mensa, and holds certifications including Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Richard is a founder and on the executive committee of the Agile Defense Adoption Proponents Team ( ADAPT ).
Fadi Stephan is a consultant with Washington DC-based Excella Consulting. Fadi has more than fifteen years of professional experience as a product manager, project manager, software developer, and consultant at businesses ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Since 2006, his focus has been on agile adoption and on transitioning, coaching, and mentoring teams in agile practices. Fadi is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Project Management Professional (PMP), an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). Fadi is founder and organizer of the DC Agile Engineering Conference, founder of the DC Software Craftsmanship user group, and organizer of the DC Scrum user group.

Registration is now open. Classes on both days will take place from 9am – 5pm at Excella Consulting at 2300 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 630, Arlington, Virginia (located at the Courthouse Metro stop on the Orange Line). Parking is available in the building and will be validated. Light breakfast will be available at 8:30am each day and lunch will also be provided.
Cancellation Policy
Students submitting cancellation requests 5 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund. Students submitting cancellation requests less than 5 business days prior to the start of the course will be issued credit toward a future Excella training course. The credit will be equal to the amount paid for the initial course less any applicable fees. Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, each registered students will be refunded 100% of the registration cost he/she paid.
