RAD Class For Women (Rape Aggression Defense System)

A session of the day-long Women's self defense training offered by the UT Arlington Police Department is scheduled to be held on Friday, June 26, in sixth floor parlor of the UT Arlington Central Library. The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) classes are free, but are limited to 25 participants, so if you're interested, RSVP to nadine@uta.edu to hold your place. This flyer has more information.

[] The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on self defense training.
[] The R.A.D. program is designed to help women overcome the effects of sexual violence by teaching assertiveness, awareness, risk reduction, risk avoidance, and physical self defense options and strategies.
[] The R.A.D. course is taught by certified R.A.D. Instructors within the UTA Police Department and will provide each student with a reference manual that outlines the entire R.A.D. Physical Defense System for reference and continuous growth.
This class is free and open to the UT Arlington community. Lunch will be served.
