The Mai Directed by Nancy Curran Willis
Beginning with 100-yr-old, opium-smoking Grandma to the meddling aunties & a couple of sisters, the play is filled with memorable characters. The play revolves around Robert, who 4 years before the show opens, has left the Mai after 17 years of marriage. He returns, but whether the marraige will survive is the question. Weaving it together is Millie, the daughter who witnessed the tragedy, love and humor of 4 generations of women whose lives unfold thru storytelling and the music of the cello.
