One of The Best

This is definitely a hidden treasure. Excellent Italian food. (The owners/chefs are also Italian, as I inquired.)Soups are hearty and delectable.I especially like their grilled seafood appetizer platter with grilled vegetables. Pastas are handmade, on-site. Bread is also made on-site (not just bought and then heated up). Tomato cream vodka sauce is wonderful, especially on the cavatelli or angel hair pasta.

Won't Be Back

A large group had a family stle dinner at Toscana Restuarant on Thursday, Febuary 26. Everyone sitting in my area was disappointed and we all said we wouldn't be back. The only part of our dinner I enjoyed was the bread. It isn't even an Italian Restuarant. Everyone there seems to be Greek. It seems to be a Greek restaurant pretending to be Italian. The egg drop spinach soup was luke warm and very salty. All the family style entrees we were served were dismal. No spaghetti, no meat balls, cheese on only one dish. One entree was breaded and fried, no sauce, no cheese, just breaded and fried. Like dry cardboard in a bread crumb crust. Another entree was breaded and fried with a dollop of tomato and a smidgeon of cheese. The fish was not good and when some one asked what kind of fish it was, the waiter said he'd have to ask, and of course he never came back. The bowtie pasta had a thin, watery, light tomato sauce, no herbs, no cheese, no meat. Just pasta and some bland, watery sauce. The staff was pleasant and tried hard but they seemed overwhelmed. But the quality of the food was not good and wasn't even Italian. I might give it one more try for pizza but given the meal I had Thursday, I don't have high hopes. I've had better food in a workplace cafeteria.

An Authentic Dining Experience

We were pleasantly surprised by the overall dining experience. The staff is very friendly. The food is excellent. The environment is clean, well decorated, and warm. By no means a bargain, I would say that it is a good value for the money. The Head Chef Mouret does outstanding work. We had the pizza and the fish-and would recommend them both. This has become our new favorite restaurant!
