Evolving Layers: Monotypes and Mixed Media

Stephanie Nadolski will be exhibiting a collection of original monotypes and mixed media paintings that have evolved over a period of several years. The Maya selections are an ongoing series based on inspirations from travels to ruins in the Yucatan, Quintana Roo, and Belize. The Flora selections are semi-abstract representations influenced by trips to the jungles and rain forests from Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Tahiti, and Hawaii and a passion for growing tropical plants that have survived re-locations… Show more from Houston, to Chicago to Shady Side, Maryland. A new series, Elements, is based on environmental influences and include paintings on a densely textured surface, building up layers of color and texture that lead the way to the final image.
