Hal Ketchum

"A modern master of serious country music" Upstate New York-to-Texas transplant Hal Ketchum became a major country star with his album "Past the Point of Rescue" and song "Small Town Saturday Night," a magnificent, nihilistic portrait of rural teenage life--the song Bruce Springsteen would have written if he'd been born a few miles farther south. His booming tenor voice has been a fixture of country radio for years. Hal's music has kept on growing ever since he came on the Austin scene in the 1980s, and he comes to The Ark fresh off a stint in the studio that produced 14 new songs for an as yet unnamed album.
