Secrets, Loss, Memory, and Courage: Works by Gay Male Artists

Saturday, Jun 22, 2013 10:00a to 5:00p

This show brings together a range of works from the Addison’s collection, including a number of recent gifts made in memory of Paul Monette, a writer and gay activist who graduated from Phillips Academy in 1963, on the occasion of the 50th reunion of his class. Through paintings, photographs, and video, the show explores a variety of themes, including secrecy, AIDS, outsider communities, loving relationships between men, and the quest for tolerance and acceptance.
