Childbirth Education Classes (Tuesdays)

AnMed Health helps you prepare for your new addition with classes and support. You can rely on AnMed Health Women's and Children's Hospital to offer up-to-date and helpful classes to help you prepare. Childbirth Education Classes help expectant parents better understand the birth process, including: • Signs and stages of labor • Natural relaxation and comfort techniques • The support person's role during labor • Pain relief options • Common interventions in labor and delivery • Caesarean… Show more birth • Postpartum Care • Early Infant Care Classes meet weekly for four weeks from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Classes meet in Peggy Gardner Deane Room #3 in the lobby of Women' s and Children's Hospital. Registration should occur by the fifth month of pregnancy to help ensure your preferred session. Classes should be completed four to six weeks before your due date. 2013 class dates are subject to change. Beginning with the 2nd class of the series, you will need to bring several pillows and a blanket or mat to use for relaxation on the floor. $65 per couple. Please register the mom only, for 1 seat. One support person encouraged to attend with expectant mom at no additional charge.
