Gyre: The Plastic Ocean
In one of the most breathtaking places on the planet, an ambitious scientific expedition and museum exhibition tackle the global marine debris crisis. Gyre tells a global marine debris story through the work of more than 25 artists from around the world. An exhibition section specific to Alaska features a 2013 expedition’s resulting scientific discoveries, as well as art created from some of the 4 tons of trash gathered from a 4-mile beach in Hallo Bay.
