Smithsonian Spotlight: Making Music in the North
Join violinist and ethnomusicologist Heidi Aklaseaq Senungetuk to learn about her creative development as a classical musician and her study of Iñupiaq music and dance. Senungetuk is a Ph.D. candidate in ethnomusicology at Wesleyan University. She has worked as a professional violinist in orchestras in New Orleans; Tulsa, Okla.; Honolulu; and Anchorage.
