Plant vs. Herbivore

Sunday, Apr 28, 2013 2:00p

How do plants make a living in Alaska and keep from getting eaten? How do herbivores, such as moose, make a living eating plants, especially when so many are full of chemical compounds that makes them hard to digest? Naturalist Ute Olsson will discuss aspects of herbivory in boreal ecosystems. Indoor presentation followed by an optional walk. Free; $5 parking for non-members.
