My Heart Runs in Two Directions at Once

Friday, Apr 12, 2013 8:00p to 10:00p

After years of explaining how he became a storyteller, he was convinced to create a deeply revealing autobiography about being adopted into a white family, growing up in the Western world of Anchorage, discovering his Yup'ik-Inuit family and heritage and realizing why he should spend the rest of his life being a storyteller. It goes beyond that, as Jack realizes the deep spiritual connection to his Yup'ik grandfather, whom he's named after, and the role of healers in the modern world.
