Wings

Monday, Mar 25 8:00p

The 1927 silent film “Wings” won the Oscar for Best Picture, largely for its spectacular aerial dogfight scenes. The New York Times wrote “… the film contains some of the best flying sequences ever captured on celluloid.” The film tells the story of two fighter pilots during World War I whose friendship is endangered when they fall in love with the same woman. “Wings” is presented in partnership with the Bear Tooth in conjunction with the Anchorage Museum’s “Arctic Flight” exhibition.
