"In my youth I set up the altar for sacred Lakota Yuwipi ceremonies, working with Benjamin Godfrey Chipps, a Spiritual Interpreter of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe, a practitioner of the Yuwipi ceremony with blood links to its originator. My education in traditional Native American religious beliefs and culture lasted over 17 years. Through this process I learned the healing powers of the earth.
During my training I was taught healing practices that can be traced back to the foundations of the Earth. Through the ceremonies I came into my own relationship and understanding of these sacred traditions. I became a “Helper”, working with the sacred powers of the world to assist humanity to return to balance and true Health and Happiness." ~ Sal Gencarelle
A note of my personal experience ~
"I have been lucky enough to have been mentored by Sal in his Leadership Initiation Program. By far, it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. He brings a deep knowledge, patience, understanding and dedication that far surpasses many others. When I talk to others about my experience, I am often drawn to tears at how deeply it has affected me. I have taken away tools that I will use to better myself and deepen my understanding of life for the rest of my life. I am very proud, happy and excited to be a part of bringing some of this to Essex County. "

Children and Youth:
This will be a family/kid friendly event! Children are an important part of our communities and are also an important part of this event! During parts of the program, child care will be offered and children will be able to participate in a wide variety of activities such as exploring the natural playground, sit spot routines, stories and crafts. Older children may enjoy activities such as compasses and maps, fire making, shelter building and survival skills.
Soak it all in for a while while your kids get more connected with nature!
Since we are offering this at no extra cost, families who wish to use this will be asked to have one person from their family donate a couple of hours through the weekend to help out with the children's program. We feel this helps create a strong sense of community involvement and it helps us to offer this service at no extra cost. Everyone gets so much out of this experience!
** Note: This is Not a daycare. Parents will not be permitted to leave the premises while children are being minded.**
This special task is being lead by retired Social Worker Bonnie Cronin. If you have any questions, or you would like to volunteer more hours, you may contact her at email@example.com
Camp Breyerswood is the local Girl Guides of Ontario campground. The campground is 27 acres, with trails, pond, playground, quiet area and more. This will be the ideal place for a spiritual getaway/cleansing and nature connection time for the whole family.
There are sacred teachings around women's natural body and spiritual cycles. We will have a Moon Lodge to hold space for women of all ages around this subject.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this *important* matter, please do not hesitate to email or call Kati. firstname.lastname@example.org or 519-991 -6434
