The Lerner Contemporary Glass Collection

In conjunction with the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass (AACG), the Allentown Art Museum joins the nationwide celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the development of studio art glass in America. This exhibition is culled from the collection of glass collectors and Museum patrons Mr. and Mrs. Les and Elaine Lerner.

Now a serious collector of contemporary art glass, Mrs. Lerner began simply, by collecting perfume bottles. The Lerner Glass Collection has grown to more than… Show more eighty pieces, including work by such accomplished artists as Michael Taylor, David Schwartz, Robin Grebe, Eric Bernstein, and Lino Tagliapietra.

The Lerner Contemporary Glass Collection will feature over twenty pieces of glasswork illuminated by the natural light that flows through the Fowler Gallery’s nine-foot-tall windows, overlooking Allentown’s Arts Park.
