Our family (my wife and I plus daughter, 16 and son, 12) saw his show last night. We are huge fans of his Comedy Central shows and were excited to see him live. The show started 1/2 hour late with "Guitar Guy" as warm up. He was very funny and his guitar work is truly excellent, but some of his humor was a bit sophomoric. Our kids laughed, and his sexual humor, was pretty much PG-13. We all found him clever, funny, and a good warm up. Jeff came on stage and appeared a little "high" on...? Slurring words a bit, but gave a great show. Kids were a bit disappointed when he digressed into unnecessarily crude jokes that we thought "below" him (e.g. fart jokes and disparaging female humor). His Comedy Central stuff was better. He started with Walter, then Achmed, and closed with Peanut. All were funny, and he brought Guitar Guy on for a bit with Achmed that digressed into a hilarious, unscripted, improptu bit that caused them to giggle like school kids and reminded me of how Tim Conway used to crack up Harvey Korman and cast on The Carol Burnett Show years ago. His encore was with Bubba Joe, a perfect fit for the Allegan, MI crowd. The funniest part of Bubba was that as he recited his well-known routine, the crowd called out the lines at the same time...clearly all 10,000+ in the audience are big fans of Bubba, and of Jeff and his puppet crew. Overall a great night and we look forward to seeing his new TV show on Comedy Central this October.

This guy's an excellent ventriloquist. If you've got the chance to see him,do it.
