TaikoProject - Surrounding Suns

Founded in 2000 in Los Angeles, California by a group of young, emerging taiko drummers, the group has garnered critical acclaim from all over the world. The first American taiko group to win the prestigious Tokyo International Taiko Contest in 2005, the group was cast that same year in a Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial, the first national ad campaign to prominently feature taiko. They have performed and recorded with Stevie Wonder, Justin Bieber, John Legend and Kanye West, to name a few.
