Barry Douglas

Barry has received rave reviews for the first disc in his new series of the complete piano works of Brahms for Chandos Records. Chandos plans to record the complete works of Schubert also over the next few years with Barry.

Born in Belfast, where he studied piano, clarinet, cello and organ and also conducted choirs and chamber ensembles, Mr. Douglas is a Gold Medal winner of the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition, is Artistic Director of the annual Clandeboye International Festival in… Show more Northern Ireland, and received the Order of the British Empire in 2002 for services in music.
