George Washington’s surprise birthday party is at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 18 and 19 at Mount Vernon, 3200 Mount Vernon Highway, Alexandria. Meet characters from the 18th century as they help visitors surprise “Gen. George Washington” with rousing birthday cheers. During the party, the first president will be presented with gifts, which he will describe and react to during a speech to his birthday visitors.
