Popejoy Hall is the premier performing arts center in New Mexico. Seating up to 1985 patrons, Popejoy is the largest such venue in the state. Following a major renovation in 1996 and seating replacement in summer 2007, Popejoy hosts touring Broadway shows, symphony concerts, musical soloists and artists of international caliber, world-renowned ballet and modern dance companies, and noted speakers from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

Performer James Powell has been part of '90s London stage productions such as Les Miserables and Listen to the Wind. He should not be confused with British recording artists such as the drummer James Powell -- who is Georgie Fame's son -- or the soulful leader of Jimmy Powell & the Dimensions....

Composing and performing instrumental music with a pronounced sense of drama, dynamics, and romanticism, Yanni broke through to a significantly larger audience than his peers, thanks to adult alternative radio airplay and a commanding performance style that attracted fans through frequent appearances on public television as well as world-wide concert tours....
