Colors to Dye For!

Tuesday, Jul 22 12:00p to 1:00p

Join Museum staff members in fabric dyeing, using fruits and vegetables like our ancestors did! What are the naturally-occurring chemicals contained in food that produce such lovely colors? You will make a needle book with cold-dyed swatches to take home, while learning about the history of food-based dyeing. Limited to 12 participants on a first-come, first served basis. For children ages 10 and up.
