David Treuer is the author of Rez Life: An Indian’s Journey Through Reservation Life (2012). Combining memoir, history, and journalism, Rez Life gives an insider’s view of Native American community experience. Son of an Ojibwe mother and Holocaust survivor father, Treuer is the author of several books including Native American Fiction: A User’s Manual (2006).

Presented by the New York State Writers Institute and cosponsored by SUNY Press in conjunction with the annual John G. Neihardt Lecture.
