The Albany Symphony is proud to welcome Benjamin Zander, visionary conductor, educator, and inspirational force, as guest conductor. Ben, one of the world's leading interpreters of the works of Gustav Mahler, will conduct Mahler's monumental Fifth Symphony. Ben's performances of most of Mahler's Symphonies have been recorded to great acclaim with London's leading orchestra, the Philharmonia. Those discs include his very insightful commentary on each of the works. He will share that commentary with us at a special pre-concert event. Ben is the Music Director of the Boston Philharmonic and of the world renowned New England Conservatory Youth Orchestra. He is the co-author of the best-selling business motivation book, "The Art of Possibility," published by Harvard University Business Press, and travels the world conducting orchestras and leading motivational workshops for major corporations, foundations and governments, based on his musical experiences as an educator and conductor.
