The Figure: A Bay Area Legacy

Thursday, Mar 13 11:00a to 5:00p

The Bay Area Figurative style is one of the most important art movements not only in the Bay Area, but in art across the world. David Park is credited with starting the movement as an evolution from Abstract Expressionism. His novel approach sparked a dynamic dialogue between abstraction & representation which continues today.

The Figure: A Bay Area Legacy exhibition demonstrates the continuing impact of the engaging and flexible Bay Area Figurative style on new generations of artists.
