Martha Davis
Martha Davis
Martha Davis and her sister Amber Davis record together and alone in the gospel genre, their specialty being harmony singing. The pair recorded with Ralph Stanley of Appalachian music fame in 2005. This Martha Davis should not be confused with the leader of the Motels, nor the popular pianist and singer of the same name from the '40s....
Martha Davis & The Motels
Martha Davis & The Motels
Her voice is unique, unmistakable and timeless – The Los Angeles Times' Robert Hilburn called her "arguably the most charismatic female performer in rock." And about the Hollywood Bowl concert just a few months ago, The Hollywood Reporter wrote: Martha Davis, of the Motels, was still strong in voice and admirably delivered hits like "Only The Lonely" and "Suddenly Last Summer....
Asleep At The Wheel
Asleep At The Wheel
Since the early '70s, Asleep at the Wheel have been the most important force in keeping the sound of Western swing alive. In reviving the freewheeling, eclectic sensibility of Western swing godfather Bob Wills, the Wheel have earned enthusiastic critical praise throughout their lengthy career; they have not only preserved classic sounds that had all but disappeared from country music, but have also been able to update the music, keeping it a living, breathing art form....
Queen Nation
Queen Nation
There is little doubt among the pure rock community that the legendary band Queen and lead performer Freddie Mercury earn high ranks as one of the most powerful and iconic groups in rock history. Queen, the kings of arena rock, performed to packed stadiums around the globe for over two decades....

HORRIBLE in Every Way

We paid $50 for a Lisa Lampanelli show plus dinner. Imagine my surprise when I showed up to find out "Plus Dinner" doesn't mean anything if you don't call to make reservations? I looked at my paperwork and couldn't find one area it said to call and make them and I didn't see it when I booked our seats online. Thankfully they found us a seat together but I had to complain loudly and long to get it.

Not only was it lava hot in the building, they smashed as many as 30 people on each side of the long tables (60 total). There was no way to get out for those on the end other than sliding down and crawling under the table (Which we had no choice but to do). A woman in my party was pregnant, after crawling on the floor and dealing with the heat she had to leave before the show even started!! The food was outrageous - $40 for chicken?? - plus it was HORRIBLE and cold. It took as long as 20 minutes to get an iced tea and the staff was RUDE and indifferent. I can't even begin to tell you how awful our experience at this club was.

Not only will I never go back, I will be contacting the fire marshal in regard to the over-crowded conditions. I recommend skipping anything at the Canyon Club.... it's not worth it.
