Za Za's Is NOT a Good Restaurant

My family went to Za Za's for New Year's dinner, and there was nothing enjoyable about the meal AT ALL. We were curtly shown to our table and given bread, but denied any oil. Eventually a different server gave us a little bit on a dish, but took the oil away because "they didn't have enough bottles." My dad ordered an MGD, but our server didn't come back for 10 minutes, and when she did she didn't have the bottle and she had to ask again. The service sucked throughout the night -- it seemed like all the servers were more disappointed that they were there than interested in satisfying their customers.

The food was also terrible. Not only did it take over 30 minutes to receive our food, but my dad was told his lobster "fell apart" and also somehow "was lost" and he'd have to wait for a new one. Instead of being polite and humble, the manager came over with an attitude ready to pick a fight with us, and offered a crappy glass of wine that we didn't want as compensation for waiting. Anything with fish (our soup, shell pasta, and eventually the lobster) all tasted like they still had sand on them and were terribly cooked. No one could eat their food. The fish was probably old.

The bill for 4 people totaled over $130 (including a $4 bottle of iced tea and a $42 14 ounce ribeye). For 4 people to spend that much money on food and service that wasn't good, perhaps the restaurant could at least afford another bottle of oil for the table. After experiencing first hand the complaints that many of my friends had shared about the restaurant, they can be certain that we will NEVER return or recommend it to others.
